Epsom Salt
Indication:
A saline cathartic. By remaining in the digestive tract, it retains water by osmotic action, causing increased bulk of intestinal contents. Faeces are then passed gently 5-6 hours after administration. Use as a water solution in horses, cattle, foals, calves, sheep, swine, dogs, and cats.
Usage Instructions:
Epsom Salt can be used for:
- Sheath Cleaner for breeding stallions
- Prevention of Grass Tetany (cattle), Grass Staggers (sheep)
- Relieve pain and inflammation for bruised or injured extremities.
- As a cathartic and laxative agent.
Dosage:
- Dog: 2-25g
- Cat: 2-5g
- Horse: 30-100g
- Cow: 250-500g
- Pigs: 25-125g
Always provide adequate drinking water during treatment.
